Clinogyne dichotoma , Salisb, belonging to the family Marantaceae, is a perennial crop with remarkable morphological characteristic. Present study on the anatomical features revealed their adaptability in waterlogged low‐lying marshy lands unsuitable for the cultivation of any other crop.
