The spatial arrangement of discolouration and decay from artificial wounds in Eucalyptus regnans was consistent with the CODIT model of s higo and m arx (1977) up to 2 years after wounding. Discolouration and decay had spread more from wounds which remained bark‐covered than from those where the bark was removed from the bole.
