Botryodiplodia theobromae was identified as the causal agent of three hitherto undescribed diseases of Italian cypress, Cupressus sempervirens : (i) crown wilt, on mature trees, (ii) Botryodiplodia stem tanker, on mature trees, and (iii) seedling blight, in nursery stands.
