On the seasonal release of Dothistroma conidia in Pinus radiata plantation in southern Chile . During 3 years continuous sporctrapping was performed in 5 to 8 years old Pinus radiata plantation near Valdivia (Chile). The maxima for the number of conidia as well as their germination occurred constantly in the first week of February, the number of trapped conidia was closely connected with the precipitation, except for the very first opening of the fruiting bodies.
