Symptoms and etiology of dieback of silver fir (fir dying). II. On the mycorrhizal and pathogenic status in fine roots in relation to symptoms of fir dying. Root damage was associated with a decrease in the root storage capacity and therefore, root regeneration of affected trees was markedly reduced.
