Ecophysiology of the uredial states of Melampsora larici‐populina Kleb. and M. allii‐populina Kleb . Reactions of M. larici‐populina and M. allii‐populina urédiospores for germination and germ tubes growth to humidity, light and temperature are compared. Differences between the two species suggest that M. allii‐populina is more thermophilic.
