Assessment was made of the health of fertilized (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) and non‐fertilized Scots pine plantations infected by Armillaria mellea . Fertilization improved the appearance of the plantations by retarding or stabilizing or preventing the appearance of disease symptoms in the crowns of some specimens even if their roots were partially colonized by A. mellea . The modifications of anatomical aspect of infection due to fertilization were not observed. The partial mycological analysis of roots was made. The mortality, in two cases, was higher on fertilized plots, in one (the youngest plantation) ‐ on non‐fertilized area. The problems of genetical and ecological resistance were discussed.
