Two new species of Sclerophoma Höhn. are described from dieback of Douglas‐fir ( Pseudotsuga menziesii [Mirb.] Franco) in British Columbia, Canada, viz. S. xenomeria n. sp. Morphological and cultural characteristics are compared with S. pithyophila (Corda) Höhn., another common species in the same disease syndrome.
