Susceptibility of young poplar shoots to Marssonina brunnea (Ell. et Ev.) P. Magn. On shoots of various poplar clones, numbers of pustules were recorded in field susceptibility tests for Marssonina brunnea . Levels of infection in shoots do not necessarily reflect those of leaves. On shoots, the bases where early defoliation occurred are the parts most severely attacked.
