Volume loss in Turkey oak coppice due to Inonotus nidus‐pici Pilat. Inonotus nidus‐pici Pilat (order Aphyllophorales , family Mucronoporaceae) causes serious damage to stands of Turkey oak ( Quercus cerris L.) in South West Europe. The decay it causes in the heartwood gives rise to considerable losses in volume.
