Studies of the variability of Lophodermium pinastri. II. Differences in physiological behaviour . In culture trials with numerous strains of Lophodermium pinastri of different provenances the influence of temperature, pH and vitamins on growth was studied as well as ability to produce starch hydrolyzing enzymes. On the basis of these tests, the strains investigated could be divided into five groups.
