Naturalistic observations were conducted over two years, on social structure, agonistic and sexual behaviour of Topi antelope ( Damaliscus korrigum Ogilby) in Akagera National Park and Mutara Hunting Reserve, Rwanda. The species shows an adaptive social polymorphism. In densely populated savanna ♂♂ form arenas on territorial breeding grounds, with small and clustered territories where interactions are numerous, whereas in more wooded areas, territorial individuals and harems live on larger and more isolated claims.
