The triangular ligaments of 82 dogs were studied to determine the presence, number, size and hepatic attachment of each ligament. A new — dorsal or intermediate — ligament is described. The left ligament was found to be the largest and the only constant one. It could be simple, double or triple. The right and intermediate ligaments could be simple or double. The frequency of these types of ligaments and the variations of them are considered. There was a statisticaly significative difference between the dimensions of the left and right ligaments specially when the left was simple
