The presence of bound d ‐glucuronic acid in the endotoxin of Bordetella pertussis was demonstrated. The branched chain trisaccharide named in the title was isolated after hydrolysis of the endotoxin with 3 M HCl for 2 h at 100°C. Its structure was established by chemical and enzymic degradation.
