The primary structure of the glycopeptide from the posterior lobe of the pig pituitary is: Ala‐Ser‐Asp‐ Arg‐Ser‐Asn‐Ala‐Thr‐Leu‐Leu‐Asp‐Gly‐Pro‐Ser‐Gly‐Ala‐Leu. The, carbohydrate is linked to the peptide chain via the asparagine residue.
