Due to difficult clinical problems caused or aggravated by the presence of severe thrombocytopenia, 4 patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) refractory to conventional regimens were treated with intravenous gamma‐globulin. One patient had a lasting remission, 2 others had a partial or brief response, and 1 patient had no improvement in platelet count.
