. A new low frequency antigen, Rb a , has been found in three blood donors. Studies on their families show that the antigen is inherited as a Mendelian autosomal dominant character. Rb a segregates independently from ABO, MNSs, P 1 Rh, Kell, Duffy, Kidd, ACP 1 and PGM 1 . Anti‐Rb a is not uncommon in sera containing multiple antibodies to low frequency antigens.
