. A new ‘private’ antigen was detected in a blood donor for our panel of test cells, Mme Hey. The original serum was derived from a blood donor sample during a routine screening test. The authors have tested 8,127 unrelated Caucasians and found two further Hey‐positive individuals. The antibody was looked for in 7,369 sera: three were found to react with the Hey red cells.
