. The inhibitor gene responsible for the dominant form of Lu(a‐b‐), called In(Lu) , which also inhibits Au a , i and P 1 , was the cause of an apparent upset in the rules of inheritance of the P system. The same Sardinian kindred also shows In(Lu)to be genetically independent of the P and Yt loci.
