. A modified method for the production of IgG anti‐Rh by ion exchange chromatography is described. The resulting product represents unfragmented, immuno‐electrophoretically pure IgG with high relative antibody concentration. Since the anti‐complementary activity is insignificant with regard to the antibody concentration, the preparation is suitable for intravenous administration. Follow‐up studies on 4,467 Rh‐negative women treated with IgG anti‐Rh (out of a total number of 52,000) revealed two doubtful and one definite case of active Rh antibody formation. 161 Rh‐negative women did not produce anti‐Rh after the second Rh‐positive pregnancy.
