. Serum levels of IgM, IgG, and IgA were determined in 62 Indian children of Surinam (4–10 years old) and in 12 Indian adults. The data have been compared with the levels of an earlier published control group of Dutch normal children and adults. The difference in values between Indian children and adults was only statistically significant for IgM and IgA, and only for males. The mean levels of Indian children and adults are much higher than the mean levels of the control group. Very high values were not exceptional. A statistically significant influence of sex could not be demonstrated in this material.
