. A new example of the A m phenotype is described. The red cells have a very weak A status, best demonstrated by ‘immune’ anti‐A sera using enzyme techniques. The serum contains normal anti‐B but no anti‐A or A substance. The saliva contains A, H and Le a substances, but the A:H substance ratio was lower than normal, indicating that the y y genes reduce the formation of secreted A as well as that of cellular A substance.
