. An alternative to freeze‐drying for the removal of ethanol from human albumin (Cohn fraction V) is described. Up to 50 kg fraction V, after solution in water, is heated during a brief passage through an evacuated chamber. Several methods are described permitting optimal rate of water or ethanol removal, or minimal polymerisation of albumin.
