. Isoimmunization of a normal rabbit with a locus negative (a –) IgG‐immunoglobulin molecules obtained from an a2‐suppressed a 2 a 2 homozygous rabbit, resulted in the production of an antiserum that identified a new genetically determined marker ‘A 50’. A large number of animals have been classified for the presence or absence of the allotypic marker.
