Summary Two new HL‐A specificities are described, FJH* and FJH‐AJ, which are the result of a subdivision of antigen FJH (W27) of the 2nd segregant series. The results obtained also indicate that the HL‐A antigen AJ (W20)is heterogeneous and consists of 3 ‘new’ specificities from the 2nd series; HL‐AS‐AJ, AA‐AJ and LND‐AJ. AJ has previously tentatively been assigned to a 3rd series of HL‐A antigens. Available evidence suggests only 2 segregant series of HL‐A antigens.
