Abstract. During management of Rhesus‐D incompatible pregnancies, the anti‐D antibody levels have been determined in both amniotic fluid and maternal serum by an automated method. The ratio of maternal serum to amniotic fluid levels has been found to remain fairly constant over the period studied. Neither maternal serum nor amniotic fluid antibody levels are completely reliable as a guide to management of Rhesus‐D incompatible cases.
