. 30 D‐negative subjects immunised by pregnancy or transfusion all had anti‐D concentrations of less than 4 μg/ml. Following re‐stimulation with D‐positive cells 14 of the 30 achieved anti‐D concentrations of over 40 μg/ml. The rise in antibody concentration was accompanied by a small rise in the average equilibrium constant.
