. Dal 8, a new antigen of the human histocompatibility HL‐A system, is described by means of a platelet complement fixation test. The frequency of Da18 in the Caucasian population is 0.088. Population and family studies indicate that the gene Da18 (frequency 0.045) behaves as an allele at the second HL‐A sub‐locus.
