Summary. Preparation of factor IX concentrate according to S oulier proved to offer no technical difficulties. The factor IX concentration averaged 10–20 times that in an identical volume of normal plasma. Haemorrhagic complications in haemophilia B can be adequately controlled with this concentrate. The erythrocytes of donor blood used in the preparation of factor IX concentrate can be used for transfusion purposes.
