Summary. For the E blood‐group system in the pig a new factor, Ej, and a new allele, E edghj , are reported. This allele has been found so far with varying frequency only in the Black and White‐Přeštice, Cornwall, Piétrain and Miniature Pig breeds. This new allele could not be detected in Landrace and Large White Pigs.
