Summary In vitro and in vivo immune adherence experiments using egg albumen/anti‐egg albumen complexes are described. Injection of the immune complex into rabbits and monkeys induced increased destruction of cellular elements of the blood. The red cells of both immune adherence‐positive and immune adherence‐negative monkeys showed a diminished survival time after injection of the immune complex. The differing results obtained in in vitro immune adherence experiments using rabbit and monkey anti‐egg albumen serum are discussed.
