Summary Different types of transport containers for blood were tested for their ability to maintain the temperature of blood bottles at a proper level at low and high ambient temperatures. The problems of constructing containers for the transportation of blood at ambient temperatures below freezing point are discussed. Résumé Différents types de coffrets destinés au transport du sang ont été testés quant à leur aptitude à maintenir la température des flacons de sang à un niveau approprié à basse et haute température ambiante. Les problèmes de construction de ces coffrets pour le transport du sang à des températures ambiantes en‐dessous du point de congélation sont discutés. Zusammenfassung Verschiedene Typen von Transportbehältern für Blut wurden bei niedriger und hoher Außentemperatur auf ihre Eignung, die Temperatur der Blutkonserven auf dem gewünschten Niveau zu halten, untersucht. Im weiteren werden die Probleme hinsichtlich der Herstellung von Behältern zum Transport von Blut bei Außentemperaturen, die unter dem Gefrierpunkt liegen, diskutiert.
