Application of the Antiglobulin Consumption Test in Animal Experiments

Summary The use of the passive haemagglutination technique as an indicating system of the antiglobulin consumption test is described. This indicating system consisting of a) tanned erythrocytes sensitized by globulin preparations possessing the globulin property of animal antibodies, and b) a corresponding antiglobulin serum, enables the detection of animal antibodies by antiglobulin consumption. The applicability of this variant was proved by means of anti‐kidney antibodies of Masugi sera. Résumé L'application de la technique d'hémagglutination passive comme système révélateur de la consommation d'antiglobuline est décrite. Ce système révélateur, composé de globules rouges tannées et sensibilisées par une globuline, qui correspond à la propriété antigènique des anticorps animaux, et d'un sérum antiglobulinique, facilite la détection des anticorps antitissulaires des animaux. La preuve de I'utilité de cette variation était fournie par la détection des anticorps anti‐rein des sérums de Masugi. Zusammenfassung Die Verwendung der «Passiven Haemagglutination» als Indikatorsystem des Antiglobulin‐Konsumptionstestes wird beschrieben. Tannierte Erythrocyten, die mit einer Globulinpräparation sensibilisiert sind, welche sich zu der Globulineigenschaft tierischer Antikörper identisch verhält, und ein Antiglobulinserum gegen diese Globulinpräparation hauen das Indikationsystem auf und ermöglichen es, tierische Gewebsantikörper mit dem Antiglobulin‐Konsumptionstest nachzuweisen. Die Verwendbarkeit der Methodik wurde an Hand von Nierenantikörpern aus Masugiseren überprüft.
