A case report is presented of a patient with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, who required anaesthesia for a major plastic surgery operation. The special anaesthetic problems are discussed, and ketamine monoanaesthesia is advocated when muscle relaxation is unnecessary. Glycopyrrolate was (bund to be an excellent antisialogenic agent.
