Five‐week‐old seedlings of Norway spruce, Picea abies (L.) Karst., metabolized 1,2‐/ 3 H/‐gibberellin A 1 into a single major compound chromatographically similar to gibberellin A 8 . The conversion rate exceeded 10% within the 24‐h incubation period.
