When tritiated gibberellin A 1 was fed to intact potato plants growing under different daylength conditions it was converted to a more polar acidic metabolite. The rate of metabolism was the same under both long and short day conditions. Attempts were made to obtain information about the possible sites within the cell where gibberellin metabolism took place.
