In addition, a 1064-nm QS Nd:YAG laser device was used to treat the patient’s epidermal and dermal hyperpigmentation, and noticeable clinical improvement was achieved. The 1064-nm QS Nd:YAG is a non-ablative, selective photothermolysis system, and low pulse-energy treatment of this laser is well tolerated, with no post-treatment bleeding or crust formation, and post-treatment erythema resolves spontaneously within a few hours of each treatment without accompanying post-inflammatory dyschromia.
