Eosinophilic panniculitis, characterized by a prominent infiltration of subcutaneous fat with eosinophils, has been identified in patients with a variety of associated clinical conditions. Burket and Burket reported the first case in 1985. 1 To our knowledge, more than 30 additional patients have been described since this initial case report. The study of 18 patients with biopsy diagnoses of eosinophilic panniculitis by Winkelmann, et al . in 1986 revealed diverse patterns of systemic disease, including Wells’ syndrome, vasculitis, atopy, and erythema nodosum. 2 We report three male patients of eosinophilic panniculitis with various clinical signs, two of whom had history of trauma or tuberculous pleurisy.
