The Use of Dextranomer in Decubitus Ulcers: A Histopathologic Evaluation

The decubitus ulcers of 4 patients being treated with dextranomer for up to three months were examined. Histopathologic sections showed only a minimal inflammatory response and no irritation. Dextranomer may be used for long periods without any tissue damage.
