In a comparative study of topical antibiotic solutions, clindamycin phosphate vs. tetracycline hydrochloride for the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory facial acne, clindamycin phosphate solution proved to be a superior agent in the reduction of papules and pustule. Both preparations had minimal side effects.
