Acyrthosiphon auriculae sp.n. is described from Primula (garden auricula) in Britain. It is close to the A.malvae group but has only eight chromosomes (2n ‐ ♀). Results from rearing experiments using excised leaf cultures suggest that auriculae has strong host‐plant preferences; it may have originated from a montane region in Europe.
