The characters of the final–instar larvae of the Mesochorinae are reviewed on knowledge of species belonging to four genera. Relationships indicated by larval characters, within the Mesochorinae, and between the Mesochorinae and other groups of rchneumonidae, are outlined. Evidence is given that the larval characters of Cidaphus indicate this genus to be the least specialized of the Mesochorinae.
