SYNOPSIS Eleven species of British Hydropsychidae are listed and characterised. The name H.siltalai Döhler 1963 is introduced and the identity of H.insta‐bilis and H.fuhipes is discussed. A key to the adult males is given together with a key to the larvae with the exceptions of H.saxonica, H.exocellata, H.guttata . Notes on the distribution of the species are included.
