The species of Pareromene Osthelder (Pyralidae: Crambinae: Diptychophorini) from the western South Pacific, with further notes on the New Zealand species

SYNOPSIS Six species of Crambinae described by Meyrick, and three by Tarns, from western South Pacific islands between the Louisiade Archipelago and Samoa, are redescribed and transferred from Diptychophora Zeller to Pareromene Osthelder. Five new species and one new subspecies of Pareromene are described. The zoogeography and phylogeny of the genus in this region are briefly described, and some additional notes on New Zealand species are given.
