SYNOPSIS Two species described by Bagnall on damaged uniques are redescribed from fresh material of both sexes: roboris, belonging in the Trypoctothrips complex. and frontalis , which belongs with three other Australasian species in a group of genera involving a parallel phyletic line referred to here as the Dinurofhrips complex. Two new genera are defined, one from Australia and one from Brazil; five new species are described, two Australian, two Nigerian and one Brazilian; four new synonymies are indicated from Australia and one from Nigeria; host records are given for two little known species.
