SUMMARY This paper describes a new equipment for investigating the density properties of minerals and rocks. A description is given of the principle and operation of a gravitation gradient tube, of density standards and of a device for the precise density determination and separation of minerals. The possibility of using the method described for geological and mineralogical studies is discussed.
