Most non‐T lymphocytes in nonimmunized mice spontaneously bind heavily haptenated (4‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dinitrophenyl)acetyl (NNP)‐sheep erythrocytes. Few if any T lymphocytes are rosette formers with such erythrocytes. The NNP rosette formation is suggested to be a marker for mouse non‐T cells.
