Melampsora euphorbiae (Schub.) Castagne is reported for the first time on Euphorbia lagascae , a spurge which is a native of south‐east Spain and has seed oil rich in vernolic acid. In Spanish trials, rust caused by M. euphorbiae was the major disease of this potential crop.
