SUMMARY Observations in nurseries in Hampshire, Kent, Sussex, Gloucestershire and Avon in 1976 showed that aldicarb‐treatment of year‐round chrysanthemums no longer prevented infestation by Tetranychus urticae. The evidence suggests that strains resistant to this acaricide had been selected.
