SUMMARY Pre‐harvest treatments of strawberry plants with benomyl, MBC, thiabendazole and thiophanate‐methyl, significantly reduced mildew on leaves and fruit, and all, with the exception of thiabendazole, significantly reduced pre‐ and post‐harvest botrytis fruit rot. The incidence of post‐harvest fruit rot caused by Rhizopus spp., however, was greater on all treated plants than on those receiving no fungicide.
